Ol Pejeta Wildlife Conservancy – Visit Sudan’s Last Home
Sudan was the last male northern white rhino the world had left until 2018. The saddening death of Sudan may have marked the end of northern white rhinos’ existence. Sudan, which came from Czech Republic in 2009, died at 45 years old. Here you can learn more about his existence with the last females of his kind.
Ol Pejeta conserves these three rhinos and herds of black rhinos. This place has the biggest herds of black rhinos in Kenya. It also has a chimpanzee sanctuary in Sweetwaters that protects and rescues these primates from poachers.
Lake Naivasha – Best for Viewing the Great Rift Valley and the Crescent Island
Lake Naivasha, one of the seven Great Rift Valley lakes, is in a scenic place. You will catch the views of the Great Rift Valley floor and the rocky escarpments on either side. Lake Naivasha’s best tourist attraction is Crescent Island.
You will first take a boat ride across the freshwater lake while viewing birds, hippos, and small animals. Then, we will take you on a guided walking tour to the Crescent Island. As you walk, you will meet grazing zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and small predators.
Masai Mara National Reserve – The Wildlife Haven Everyone Wants to See
Masai Mara National Reserve is the top tourist attraction in Narok County and Kenya. Most foreigners and locals visit Masai Mara to see the annual Great Wildebeest Migration that occurs from July to October in Mara River.
They also come here for Big Cats escapades, where they watch lions, leopards, and cheetahs’ hunting tactics. Masai Mara hosts all the Big Five and over 450 bird species. It is the best place to be for wildlife viewing, bird watching, and cultural studies. The Masai tribe lives here, and you can meet its people in the Masai Village to learn its cultural practices.
