Nine Days and Eight Nights Tour: Tsavo East, Tsavo West, Amboseli, L.Naivasha, Masai Mara Itinerary

By the time you finish this 9-days and 8-nights tour, you will have visited four national parks, one of the best Great Rift Valley lakes, and one national reserve near Kenyan-Tanzanian border.

Tsavo East National Park – The Home of Red Elephants

Tsavo East national park has red elephants. They are not born that way, as you will discover during this tour. These elephants love to bathe in the red volcanic soil. Apart from these, Tsavo East has a man-made feature called the Aruba Dam. It serves as the park’s watering hole. Another feature is the Mudanda rock, from where visitors observe wildlife and the beautiful landscape of Tsavo East.

Tsavo West National Park – See the Big Five

Tsavo West and Tsavo East national parks face each other but are separated by the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. Thus, moving from Tsavo East to Tsavo West takes a short time. Tsavo West is popular all the Big Five African animals, the Mzima Springs, Shetani Lava Flows, and varied wildlife species and bird life.

Amboseli National Park Where Elephants Move in Droves

If you want to encounter countless freely-foraging elephants, AMboseli National Park is where to be. Hordes of elephants scatter over the vast savanna plain all day. Amboseli is home to buffalos, lions, and leopards. Watch the snowing Mt.Kilimanjaro in the afternoons when there no clouds at the peak.

Discover Lake Naivasha’s Crescent Island and Hell’s Gate National Park

Lake Naivasha is a famous Great Rift Valley lake supporting boat riding, walking safaris, wildlife viewing, bird watching, and bicycle riding. Its main attraction is the Crescent Island, which has animals like giraffes, impalas, gazelles, and antelopes.  L. Naivasha’s other attraction site is the Hell’s Gate National Park.

Lake Nakuru National Park – Meet the Rothschild’s Giraffe and Flamingos

Lake Nakuru National Park is among the most amusing places for tourists in Kenya. Lake Nakuru  is home to stunning pink flamingos. Countless flamingos flock its shores, turning it into a memorable pink sight. Lake Nakuru is an ideal tourist landmark for bird viewing, including species like ostriches, kingfishers, marabou storks, pelicans, and cormorants. It is in a beautiful escarpment area that supports animals like black rhinos, white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, baboons, zebras, buffalos, etc.

Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Kenya’s Finest Wildlife Ecosystem

Masai Mara National Reserve in Narok County is where the Great Wildebeest Migration happens every year. Its rich ecosystem attracts Wildebeests from the Tanzanian Serengeti National Park. Nature dictates that they cross the Mara River, a huge river with giant Nile crocodiles and hippos. Come and see how millions of wildebeest and their offsprings escape the jaws of gigantic crocodiles.

Other than the Big Five, Masai Mara shelters 470 bird species and smaller wildlife species. Masai Mara is where the famous Maasai Morans live. For an extra fee you can visit the Masai Village and see the Morans.
